Do I need a physician referral to receive therapy?
Yes. The state of Texas requires a patient to have a referral from a physician, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrist, physician assistant, or advanced nurse practitioner. We do offer a Golf program which does not require a referral and is a self pay program.
Can I choose to have therapy where I want?
Yes. It is your right as a patient to chose who your therapist is and where to have your therapy.
Your first visit.
At your first visit you will be evaluated by a licensed Physical Therapist. This will allow the therapist to design a treatment program individualized to your needs. We often begin treatment at the first visit.
What do I need to bring on my first visit?
- Your referral from your physician
- Insurance card and Texas driver's license
- If you are a worker's compensation patient we must pre-authorize your Physical Therapy before the first visit
- Comfortable clothes to exercise in and allow access to injured body part
How long is each visit?
Each visit will last approximately 45 - 60 minutes. Times vary depending on your treatment program.
How often will I attend therapy?
The frequency of your visits is determined at your initial evaluation with your therapist. Most patients are scheduled 2-3 times per week.
